2003 Imported Dutch stallion, 17 hh, Voltaire x Burggraaf, Licensed Belgian Warmblood breeding stallion
Congratulations Wish!
2007 was an incredible debut for Wish. He lightly competed, getting ready for the keurings, and his first foals hit the ground with amazing quality, and he was highly lauded at both the Belgian and Dutch keurings.
WISH IS NOW LICENSED BELGIAN!!! AFTER COMPLETION OF HIS OFFSPRING AND SPORT REQUIREMENTS, HE WILL BE FULLY APPROVED.
WISH RECEIVED THE HIGHEST JUMPER IBOP SCORE IN THE NATION DURING THE DUTCH KEURING TOUR! HE TRAVELLED TO IRON SPRING FARM IN PENNSLYVANIA FOR THE TESTING AND CAME HOME VICTORIOUS! WISH IS AN ACTIVATED DUTCH FOALBOOK STALLION.
We believe Wish to be the perfect cross on our lighter boned American horses, such as Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses, as well as modern type warmblood mares, in order to produce the sought after sport horse. The Dutch jury had a hard time deciding where to place him. He has great jumping qualities like a jumper in his hind end, he is very correct with his front end like a hunter, and he can move like a dressage horse. We have found in his 2007 foal crop that when a hunter mare was used, a lovely hunter type foal emerged. When a jumper mare was used, a jumper type foal was produced. While the foals all had his gorgeous head and neck and beautiful shoulder and hip, the hunters were lighter and had less hock action. The jumpers had larger joints and overall bone structure and had substantial power behind, just like Wish.
If you are looking for a stallion who is himself a great specimen and athlete, has impeccable European breeding, a lovely, quiet mind and a strong stamp on his get, Wish is your guy!
Wish is a remarkable young stallion imported from Holland in 2005. He is currently starting both his riding and breeding careers. He has an incredibly good character as well as the beauty and athleticism needed in a top stallion. Wish is a lovely mover and is from some of the finest showjumping bloodlines in all of Europe. We have high hopes for this young stallion as a sire of top hunters and jumpers in the United States. He is owned in partnership between Ashwood Farm, located in Kansas, USA, and Burgers Stables, located in Moergestal, The Netherlands. Wish is covering a very limited book of select mares in 2006 by private treaty standing at Ashwood Farm, and will be offered at stud for a full booking in 2007. Click here to contact us about Wish.
